Rigid Tubes

Amco Plastics manufacture a large range of rigid plastic tubes in various materials and colours.  Our customers use these tubes predominantly in the leisure, exhibition, packaging, DIY, construction and manufacturing industries.

 

Our current machine capabilities allow us to manufacture tube sizes ranging from 8mm to 100mm outside diameter with a wall thickness to suit the needs of the tube.  Rigid tubes are manufactured to the customers required lengths up to a maximum of 6 metres and with the specialist downstream equipment that we use cutting is automatic and precise to the millimetre. Tubes can be made from various materials dependant on the application but most common ones are uPVC, ABS, low density polyethylene (LDPE), high density polyethylene (HDPE) and high impact polystyrene (HIPS). 

 

We have the facility to offer several services that can be applied to your tubes ranging from simple in-line printing of the Company name, batch number, manufacture date etc., bending or forming of the tubes, application of adhesive tape, drilling or punching to name but a few.  For more information regarding our services please see the section ‘Post Extrusion Services’.  If your needs are not shown we may be able to offer the service required, so please ask.

Leisure Industry

We manufacture various items for the leisure market including practice hurdles and flag posts, a range of tubes used as component parts for goal posts which can be used by a family in the back garden or by professionals in a league.  Coloured tubes which are used to aid cricket coaching and also hula hoops for adults and children. To capture the imagination of children and to encourage physical play these tubes can be made in single solid colours, co-extruded to produce candy stripes, or can have small items incorporated inside the tube to create special effects, from rattling to flashing lights.  We are also able to offer a laminating service which can apply coloured or holographic foils.

 

DIY/Manufacturing Industry

We manufacture various items for the home and for the construction trade.  Our tubes are used as component parts for various bathroom accessories, used in the manufacture of paint rollers, contact lenses, machine pumps and the plumbing industry.  They are also incorporated into postural support products for the disabled.
